Automotive maintenance, do's and don't's. Common mistakes drivers make.

Bellow we present you some basic facts in automotive maintenance that every driver should know in order to keep his/her car in best possible condition.

• Do change your oil regularly
• Don't change it every 3000 miles. Refer to your driver manual, most car manufacturers suggest you change it 5000 - 7000. The three thousand is a very successful promotional campaign of oil manufacturing companies.

• Do put proper grade gas in your car
• Don't put just supper. Some cars require supper, some premium and some regular. Again, refer to your driver manual. You may be doing harm to your engine by putting wrong grade gas.

• Do wax your car. Preferably before the winter and before the summer. This will ensure that you get best protection for your paint.
• Don't hot wax too often. Let the wax wear off. Excessive waxing damages the clear coat.
